Anniversary Murals Honor Creativity at Ford Amphitheater

To celebrate the first anniversary of Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs, the Venu Arts & Culture Foundation commissioned two
murals inside the venue, creating a lasting platform for local artists within a major live entertainment space.

Through an open call, artists submitted original designs inspired by live music, Colorado’s spirit, and the connection between fans and
the stage. Two winners were selected to have their work installed as large-scale murals, each receiving a $2,500 award.

"Front Row Colorado" - Tyler Hainey

TYLER HAYNIE • COLORADO SPRINGS, CO • “FRONT ROW COLORADO”

Hainey’s piece captures the immersive experience of standing at the
edge of a live performance, where music, landscape, and audience
converge in a distinctly Colorado setting.

"Echoes of the Rockies" - Timothy Curry

TIMOTHY CURRY • DENVER, CO • “ECHOES OF THE ROCKIES”

Curry’s work blends layered texture and movement to reflect the rhythm of live performance set against the iconic backdrop of the
Rocky Mountains.

The project underscores the Foundation’s commitment to supporting artists, expanding access to public art, and weaving creativity into the community’s cultural experience. A formal recognition ceremony will take place ahead of the amphitheater’s 2026 season.
